FIRST STEPS IN INDUSTRIALISING 3D PRINTING IN THE DEFENCE SECTOR

The defence sector is also aware of additive manufacturing technologies and is taking the first steps in the process of industrialising them by addressing several stages of the production chain.

primeros pasos

AMFACTORi cooperates with this sector in a coordinated manner and with a clear response to the needs of the industry and end users. The first step was to demonstrate the viability of the technology: where, when and why these 3D printing technologies really add value.

To achieve this, among other actions, a complete facility has been designed, created and validated to supply high value components produced by self-sufficient and aero-transportable 3D printing techniques that can be transferred to conflict areas. This installation became the first pilot for the industrialisation of the sector.
